Search - There are 4 ways to search for coastal access sites.
1. Site Search Help

Site Search Help
Site Search looks for coastal access sites based on activities, facilities, environmental settings, and the geographic location you specify. For example, search for sites with a food concession, picnic area, sandy beach and bird and wildlife activity. Apply the search to one or all coastal towns. All search results are grouped by town. Modify the scope of the search to look for sites with any or all of the activities, facilities and environmental settings you specify.

2. Town Search Help

Town Search Help
Town Search lists and maps all coastal access sites in a town. The town list of sites describes all activities, facilities, and environmental settings associated with each site. The town map of sites locates all coastal access sites in a town, nearby towns, and can be zoomed in for detail.

3. Map Search Help

Map Search Help
Map Search uses an Internet-based Geographical Information System (GIS) map that shows the location of coastal access sites along the Connecticut shore. Map Search is used to locate sites of interest based on their geographic location. The map can be zoomed in and out and moved in all directions. Select coastal access sites displayed on the map for site information and to print site location maps.

Select a Site searches for a site by name from an alphabetical list.

Site Information - There are 2 types of information about individual coastal access sites.
1. Describe Site Help

Describe Site Help
Describe Site provides information about an individual coastal access site. This site-specific information generally includes a photo, description, address location, driving directions, parking information, fee information, phone number, and a list of available facilities, activities, and environmental settings. When searching for sites with Site Search, Town Search, Map Search and Select a Site, Describe Site opens when selecting a site name from the resulting list of sites or by selecting the Describe Site tab, if present.

2. Map Site Help

Map Site Help
Map Site generates a location map for an individual coastal access site. Toggle between the Describe Site and Map Site tabs for a description and map of a particular site.
