Poquetanuck Cove Water Access, Preston
Outstanding example of Thames River estuarine tidal wetland and shoreland forest natural area.  Ten minute walk to pristine shoreline from parking area/access trail.  Parking area and access trail begin just west of Route 2A wetland/tidal creek crossing.  Avoid entering dangerous abandoned incinerator area adjacent to the access trail.  Extensive upland trail system throughout the site's hemlock forest.  Be sure to bring your camera to this site!

 Directions
From the East: Take I-95 South to exit 84S-N-E. Take Route 32 North by way of exit 84North. Stay on Route 32 for 3.3 miles. Take the Montville Connector for 1.4 miles. Merge onto I-395 North. Take exit 79A off I-395. Go onto Route 2A. At the intersection of Route 12 make a left. Then a right onto Route 2/Poquetanuck Road. The Poquetanuck Cove Water Access will be located on your right.
