Beach at Saint Mary's By the Sea, Bridgeport | There are numerous activities for outdoor enthusiasts to enjoy at Saint Mary’s by the Sea, located in the distinctive Black Rock neighborhood. Bring binoculars to watch the birds and wildlife at this site. There is a developed walkway (approximately 1/2 mile in length) for power walkers or those looking for a leisurely stroll, which provide visitors with spectacular views of Long Island Sound and Black Rock Harbor. The site holds historic and cultural interest for visitors to explore. Please contact the Bridgeport Parks & Recreation Department for obtaining a parking permit to visit this site.

| From the East: Take I-95 South to Exit 24. At the end of the exit ramp, turn left and proceed approximately .2 miles on Chambers Street. Next, turn right onto Commerce Drive and continue .1 mile. Turn left onto Black Rock Turnpike (which becomes Brewster Street) and follow .6 miles. Take a right onto Fairfield Avenue and continue .2 miles. Turn left onto Gilman Street and follow 1 mile. The entrance is to the right on-street. |
