Scenic view of Penfield Beach, Fairfield | Penfield Beach is a great place to swim and sun along the Long Island Sound. It offers a long stretch of sandy beach which abuts Rickards Beach. There are charcoal grills set up on the beach for visitor use; remember to bring your own charcoal and matches. There are also swing sets for the kids. There is a nice Pavilion where visitors can purchase snacks if grilling your own food is not on your agenda. Also, there is a large parking lot.
