Spicer Memorial Park, Groton
This waterfront park, located on Beebe Cove off Spicer Avenue, offers picnic facilities and some active recreation areas (volleyball, multi-purpose field).  The park is closed at dusk and reservations are necessary for large groups (860-536-5680).  The administrative offices of the Town Parks and Recreation Department are located in the historic Spicer House at this site.  Limited public parking.  Town-owned.

 Directions
From the East: Take I-95S to exit 90, take a left onto Whitehall Ave/CT-27 and follow for approximately 1.5 miles. Take a right onto Holmes St then take another right at the end of the street onto Water St/CT-215. Follow Water St/CT-215 for about .2 miles then take a left onto Water St/CT-215. Travel on Water St/CT-215 for 2.3 miles then take a left onto Spicer Ave, the Spicer historic house will be the second house on your left.

From the West: Take I-95N to exit 88 Rt-117, take a right onto Rt-117 at end of ramp. Travel 1 mile then take a left onto Fort Hill Rd/US-1, bear right onto Groton Long Point Rd at three way intersection. After about 1.2 miles take a left onto Brook st, follow to end and take a right onto Elm St/CT-215. Take a left onto Spicer Ave, the Spicer historic house will be the second house on your left.
