Charles Wheeler Wildlife Management Area, Milford
Charles Wheeler Wildlife Management Area, Milford
Charles Wheeler Wildlife Management Area offers beautiful views of the Nells Island marshes where visitors may observe a variety of marsh and wading birds. The site accommodates car-top boating access year-round. The gate to the trailered boat launch section of the site however is open only from September 1st until end of February for goose hunting season. The area is not open to trailered (motorized) boats at other times to protect nesting marsh birds. To help you reach Charles Wheeler Wildlife Management Area, some routes leading to this site are posted with boat launch symbol signs.
