Thames River State Boat Launch | This recently updated boat launching facility provides good access to small boat fishing opportunities for a variety of species. Striped Bass, Bluefish and Flounder fishing spots are all accessible from this location. Plenty of parking is available in the parking lot for trailers. To help you reach Thames River State Boat Launch, some routes leading to this site are posted with boat launch symbol signs.

| From the East: Take I-95 South to exit 84 South. Take a left on Crystal Avenue. Then a right onto State Pier Road. Make a left to stay on State Pier Road. Thames River State Boat Launch will be located on your left. |

| From the West: Take I-95 North to exit 83. Make a left onto Williams Street. Then a right onto Cole Street. Turn slight right onto State Pier Road, follow for 0.4 miles. You will have to make a left in order to stay on State Pier Road. Thames River State Boat Launch will be located on your left. |
