 | Mystic River State Boat Launch |
Mystic River State Boat Launch, Groton | This site, located under the I-95 overpass, offers boaters fine views of the historic Mystic River corridor and is also a popular fishing site. The site is particularly well-suited to small car-top vessel launching. Trailered boat launchers use caution when launching at this site as the ramp and launch are steep and in disrepair. Trailer parking is extremely limited and navigation in parts of the upper Mystic River is controlled by tides. Area marinas offer trailered boat launching for a small fee if site conditions are inappropriate for launching your trailered vessel here. To help you reach Mystic River State Boat Launch, some routes leading to this site are posted with boat launch symbol signs.
