Guilford Salt Meadows Sanctuary offers a pleasant trail along the upland boundary of a tidal river with substantial tidal wetland fringe.  There is parking available in field past house #5.  Please check the <a href='http://www.audubon.org/local/sanctuary/guilford/index.html'>Guilford Salt Meadows Sanctuary</a>.

From the East: Take I-95 South to exit 59. Turn right onto Goose Lane. Travel on Goose Lane for approximately 0.1 miles. Turn left onto Clapboard Hill Road. Travel on Clapboard Hill Road for approximately 0.9 miles. Travel across the East River and then turn right onto the Meadow Lands Road. Follow Meadow Lands Road about a quarter mile to an open grass field. Bear right into the designated parking area. Parking is available for up to ten cars.

From the West: Take I-95 North to exit 59. Turn left onto Goose Lane. Travel on Goose Lane for approximately 0.1 miles, passing underneath I-95. Just north of I-95, turn right onto Clapboard Hill Road. Travel on Clapboard Hill Road for approximately 0.9 miles. Travel across the East River and then turn right onto the Meadow Lands Road. Follow Meadow Lands Road about a quarter mile to an open grass field. Bear right into the designated parking area. Parking is available for up to ten cars.
