This is a great location to put in your canoe and experience the Connecticut River.  There is one tent camping site for those traveling down river looking for an overnight stop. Please check the <a href='http://www.ct.gov/stateparks'>State Park River Camping</a> for additional information on availability and fees (tent camping for canoeists only limited to one night).

From the East: Take I-95 South to exit 82, which is the exit for CT-85. Turn right onto CT-85 North, continue to follow for 10.1 miles. Turn left onto CT-82/East Haddam Road. Continue to follow for 8.3 miles. Stay straight to go onto CT-148/Ferry Road for 1.5 miles. Continue on Ferry Road until the end where the boat launch is.

From the West: Take I-95 North to exit 70, which is theCT-156 exit. Turn left onto CT-156/US-1, continue to follow for 6.0 miles. Stay straight to go onto Mt. Archer Road. Continue on Mt. Archer Road for 1.8 miles. Mt. Archer Road becomes Brush Hill Road, continue to follow for 1.9 miles. Turn left onto CT-148/Ferry Road. Continue for 1.5 miles until the end of the road where the boat launch is. 8: Turn LEFT onto CT-148/FERRY RD. 1.5 miles Map
