The property provides visual access only to Gatchen Creek, a tributary to the Menunketesuck River.  It offers excellent views and birding opportunities along a salt marsh including the adjacent 247-acre Salt Meadow Refuge Unit of the Stewart B. McKinney National Wildlife Refuge.

From the East: I-95 South to Exit 64. Turn left at the end of the exit onto Route 145 South (Horse Hill Road). Travel south on Route 145 for approximately .2 miles. Turn left at stop light (and stop sign), and proceed onto Old Clinton Road for approximately .3 miles. Turn right into property access drive.
