Watch Rock Park, Old Lyme
Located at the mouth of Duck River near Great Island, this a 25-acre Old Lyme Land Trust property hosts a variety of habitat types.  Broadleaf forest, a conifer grove, open field,vernal pool, brackish marsh and creek, and rocky shoreline occupy the site's  nearly level to slightly undulating terraubs, and the rocky shoreline offers views across tidal marshlands towards Great Island, the Connecticut River and Long Island Sound. A small loop trail  takes visitors to Duck River and then back around to the point of Watch Rock. No trash receptacles are provided at the park, so please, carry-out what you carry-in. In order to protect this site's sensitive natural resources, no fires are allowed within the Preserve.

From the East: Take I-95 South to exit 70. Turn left onto Lyme Street and follow for 0.75 miles. Turn right onto Ferry Road and continue for 0.3 miles. Turn left onto Shore Road/Route 156. Continue for a mile until you turn right onto Noyes Road. Turn right onto Frontage Road. Turn right onto Joel Drive opposite McCurdy Drive. Parking lot is located at the end of Joel Drive.
