Niantic Bay Boardwalk, East Lyme | This 1 mile waterfront walkway, opened in 2005, offers inspiring views of Niantic Bay and Long Island Sound. Entrances to the boardwalk are provided only at Cini Park (located under Niantic River Bridge off Route 156) and Hole-in-the-Wall beach (Baptist Lane). Benches and interpretive signs along the entire length of the boardwalk provide opportunities to relax and learn more about the history and coastal environments you see from the boardwalk. An opening from the boardwalk to "Railroad" or "Amtrak" Beach provides access to a small beach. This popular coastal access facility is regularly monitored for your security by the Town of East Lyme most mornings and evenings from late spring through early fall. To help you reach Niantic Bay Boardwalk, some routes leading to this site are posted with the brown and white Long Island Sound Access sign .
