View of Selden Creek Preserve
The Selden Creek Preserve trail  passes through a towering mixed forest to a scenic overlook that provides opportunities to view a variety of birdlife along Selden Creek and tidal marshes including roosting bald eagles. The Preserve takes the name of the creek that divides it from the 600-acre Selden Island State Park. The Preserve includes wetlands that are part of a large wetland complex within the lower Connecticut River recognized as having conservation value of international importance pursuant to the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands, an intergovernmental treaty dedicated to the conservation and wise use of wetlands.
